Hilary will share what it really takes to turn one-off customer stories into a repeatable, scalable program, and how Postman has made participation something customers genuinely want to do.

She’ll be joined by Simon Crofts, Client Services Director at Big Button, who will bring practical insight from supporting Postman and other leading B2B tech brands to deliver advocacy content that works for both the business and the customer.

“We’re delighted to be partnering with our longstanding client Postman for this session,” said Simon Crofts, Client Services Director at Big Button.

“There’s huge interest in customer advocacy video right now, and a real demand for honest, practical guidance on how to make it work. Our aim is to share what we’ve learned and help others do the same, whether you’re a fast-growing startup, VC-backed scale-up or an established tech player. If you have customers who have a story to tell, this session is for you. Thank you to the Austin Tech Week for inviting us to be part of this year’s program.”

Together, Simon and Hilary will explore the strategy, coordination and creative thinking required to make advocacy programs work across multiple markets and customer types, including lessons learned from Postman’s work on camera with brands like Meta, PayPal, WhatsApp and HubSpot.

The session is part of the official Austin Tech Week schedule and is open to attendees working in marketing, communications or sales across the tech sector.

What attendees can expect:

  • A behind-the-scenes look at how Postman has scaled its global advocacy video program
  • Practical advice on getting customers excited about taking part
  • Tips for turning raw customer stories into high-impact content
  • Pitfalls to avoid when building advocacy at scale
  • Ideas to make the process repeatable, respectful, and effective

The session takes place at Room 14D, WeWork, 600 Congress Ave, Austin, and spaces are limited.
