Video on the web in Digital Britain

June 16, 2009 - 6:33:07

The Digital Britain report is an attempt to map out a strategic vision for Britain's growth in telecoms, broadcasting, the internet and beyond.

Headed by Lord Carter, the report was published on the 16th of June 2009 and, amongst its 9 key recommendations are "universal access for today's broadband internet" and "next generation funding for tomorrow's broadband services".

What's really interesting is the mention of video on the web, and how this report recognises that broadband internet is key to getting content into people's homes.

We've recognised the need for organisations to be able to publish and manage video and we've built an advanced video content management system specially for this. The full report is at the DCMS website, or by all means give us a call to talk about video on the web.
