Online video use predicted to soar

A report and analysis by online research body eMarketer has shown huge growth in online video last year and predicts more in years to come.



When US online advertising spending is split into methods, areas like classifieds and sponsorships are in decline, while video saw a 126% increase in 2008, with huge leaps predicted for the coming years, up to 360% over the next 5 years.

eMarketer collected data from over 3,000 sources and collaborated with PricewaterhouseCoopers on the results.
